Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

Who we are

Scrannr is operated by Mohammed Kamran (trading as Scrannr), a sole trader based in Oldham, United Kingdom. These terms apply when your business signs up for and uses Scrannr. If you have any questions, contact us at scrannr@gmail.com or call +44 7919 016073.

What Scrannr provides

Scrannr provides software and related digital services designed to help restaurants, takeaways and other hospitality businesses manage their digital ordering and day-to-day operations.

Depending on your subscription, configuration and any services separately agreed with Scrannr, the services may include:

  • a branded website, digital storefront and online ordering system;
  • collection and delivery ordering functionality;
  • order management tools and kitchen display systems (KDS);
  • staff, management and owner dashboards;
  • integrations with supported payment providers and payment methods;
  • payment links, QR ordering and other digital ordering tools;
  • menu creation and management;
  • order, sales and operational reporting;
  • cash-up and reconciliation tools;
  • integrations with supported printers, tills, hardware or third-party systems;
  • hosting and technical infrastructure required to operate the services;
  • onboarding, initial configuration and account setup;
  • maintenance, security updates, improvements and software updates; and
  • customer and technical support as agreed between Scrannr and you.

The exact services available to you will depend on your selected plan, configuration and any additional services agreed with Scrannr. Features may therefore differ between customers.

Scrannr may update, improve or modify the services from time to time, including to improve security, reliability, performance or functionality.

Third-party services

Certain parts of the services may rely on or integrate with third-party providers, including payment processors, hosting providers and other technology services. Where you use a third-party service, that service may also be subject to the third party's own terms and conditions.

Where Scrannr provides an integration with a payment provider, Scrannr facilitates access to that payment service but does not itself act as your bank or payment processor unless expressly stated otherwise.

Your business

Scrannr provides technology and software services. Scrannr does not prepare, manufacture, sell or deliver your food or other products, and does not become the seller of those products merely because an order is placed through the Scrannr platform.

You remain responsible for your own business operations, including your products, menus, prices, availability, taxes, allergen and product information, order preparation, collection or delivery, refunds, customer service and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Plans and billing

The standard plan is £60 per month. Founder pricing of £40 per month applies for your first 12 months if you joined on the founder offer, then moves to the standard rate. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance by card through Stripe. Prices are per site and exclude VAT where applicable. If a payment fails, we will let you know and retry before any interruption to your service.

Cancelling

Scrannr is month-to-month. You can cancel at any time by emailing us, and your service stays live until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not charge cancellation fees and we do not refund part-months.

Your domain

If we register or set up a domain for your site, that domain belongs to your business. If you ever leave Scrannr, we will transfer it to you on request at no charge. You are responsible for telling us the correct business details for the registration.

Support and availability

Support is by email and phone during UK working hours, and we aim to respond within one working day. We work to keep your site online at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. If something goes down, fixing it is our priority and we will keep you updated.

Payments from your customers

Customer card payments on your site are processed by Stripe under your own Stripe arrangement. Stripe's terms apply to those transactions. Scrannr does not store customers' full card details. Card-payment details are handled by Stripe through the payment integration. You are responsible for the orders you accept, refunds, and meeting your obligations to your customers (including food safety, allergen and consumer protection rules).

Your data and your customers' data

Your business remains the controller of personal data collected through your Scrannr ordering service. Where Scrannr processes that personal data on your behalf to provide the service, Scrannr acts as your processor, subject to the applicable data-processing terms. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for handling your customers' personal data lawfully.

Fair use

Use Scrannr for your genuine business only. Do not use it for anything unlawful, to sell products you are not permitted to sell, or to interfere with the service or other businesses on it.

Termination

Either of us can end the service: you by cancelling as above, or us with 30 days' notice. We can suspend or end the service immediately if the service is misused or fees go unpaid. When it ends, we will give you a reasonable window to export your customer data.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you in any year is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Scrannr after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
